At an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level the Schmittenhöhe Mountain is covered with a thick coat of snow, which forms the basis for 77 well prepared kilometres of ski pistes. 26 of these are black pistes with the highest degree of difficulty – the perfect challenge for daredevil skiers and snowboarders. The Schmittenhöhe is the closest mountain to Zell am See. The skiing area features 26 ski lifts and cable cars including the Schmittenhöhe cable car, which takes you nearly to the summit of the mountain. The Rome Park Schmitten offers snowboarders and freestyle skiers an adrenaline rush away from the pistes: The park was built by Lars Eriksen and is a popular meeting point for the community. Every day four professional shapers are responsible for perfect skiing and snowboarding conditions. Eleven obstacles and six kicker corners offer lots of scope for improving your own style in the 600-metre-long park. A special highlight is the exclusive ski movie trail. Once the card reader has identified your valid ski pass the ski movie system starts to film your newest moves and jumps – a spectacular experience which you can share at home with your family and friends.
