Your vacation with us officially starts at 2:00 PM. If you arrive in Kaprun earlier, you are welcome to securely store your luggage with us.
We bid you farewell on the day of departure until 11:00 AM. A late check-out may be possible depending on availability and in consultation with the reception.
No. Thanks to your modern locking system with the room card, you have access to the hotel 24 hours a day. You are not bound by fixed entry times and can organize your evening in Kaprun flexibly.
Yes. Despite our prime location in the center of Kaprun, we place the utmost value on a quiet atmosphere. Our soundproofed rooms and orientation towards the mountain landscape guarantee undisturbed sleep.
Almost! With a few exceptions, all rooms have a private balcony. From there, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Kitzsteinhorn or the surrounding Kaprun mountain world.
The hotel is personally managed by the family Anna and Stefan Unterkofler. They are supported by their children and a dedicated team of long-standing employees.
Yes, that is one of our specialties! We will gladly advise you individually on hiking, ski tours,  bike paths or motorcycle routes in the Zell am See-Kaprun region.
We are not a purely adult hotel. However, we have not specialized in families. This ensures that especially couples who value peace and upscale cuisine feel very comfortable with us.

Useful information about getting there and location

The address is Schulstraße 21, 5710 Kaprun, Österreich. The hotel offers free parking spaces directly at the house. A reservation is not required.
The most frequently used route leads over the A8 (Munich – Salzburg). At the Inntaldreieck, you can either travel via Kufstein (A12) and Kitzbühel or take the motorway exit Siegsdorf/Traunstein and the toll-free federal road through Lofer.
Yes, for the use of the Austrian motorways (e.g., A10 Tauernautobahn or A1 Westautobahn), a vignette is absolutely required. Those traveling via the federal road through Lofer can partially avoid the vignette obligation depending on the route taken.
The destination station for international long-distance trains (ÖBB/DB) is Zell am See. From there, it is only about 8 kilometers to Kaprun. We are happy to organize a station transfer to our hotel.
From the front square of the train station, the postbuses of line 660 regularly operate directly to Kaprun (stop Kaprun Ortsmitte). Alternatively, taxis are available at the Zell am See train station. If available, our shuttle bus will also bring you directly to the hotel door for a fee.
Salzburg Airport (W.A. Mozart) is the closest airport at a distance of about 80 kilometers. Munich Airport (MUC) is about 210 kilometers away, but often offers more international connections.

From Salzburg Airport, there are also specialized shuttle services (e.g. Salzburg Airport Service) that offer group or individual transfers directly to the Zell am See-Kaprun region. From Munich, a rental car or train connection to Zell am See-Kaprun via Ostbahnhof is recommended. We are happy to organize an airport or train station transfer to our hotel.
The Guest Mobility Ticket replaces the Pinzgau mobility card and allows all overnight guests to use all public transportation free of charge (steam and special trains as well as the night bus line are excluded from free use) throughout the Pinzgau (district of Zell am See) and in the entire Salzburg region. You will receive this ticket directly at check-in at the hotel Kaprunerhof – either in paper form or digitally in the Zell am See-Kaprun App.
Yes, provided that you have already completed a digital pre-check-in at the hotel. The digital ticket can then be used on the day of arrival for travel by bus and train within the Salzburg region (e.g., from Zell am See train station to the Hotel Kaprunerhof).
The usage includes the public transportation (train + postbuses + local trains) throughout the entire Salzburg region. This also includes the local transport in the city of Salzburg, regional bus transportation, S-trains, regional trains, and long-distance trains in SalzburgLand.

We work with excellent partners in Kaprun. As a guest of the Kaprunerhof, you receive special conditions on ski rentals there. The equipment can be easily organized in advance or on-site.
Completely relaxed. Use our free ski shuttle to the nearby Maiskogel valley station or the regional ski bus. This way you can reach the valley stations in just a few minutes without having to worry about finding a parking space. From the Maiskogel mountain station, you can reach the glacier ski area at Kitzsteinhorn in no time.
Ski courses for children and adults can be booked online on the respective ski school websites. It is best to take care of the ski course booking comfortably at home on the couch.
