One day just for ski tourers

Once a week, the snow guns are turned off and the slopes are left in their natural state. It must be time for ski touring! Every Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, the Maiskogel belongs to hikers on skis. The best part: you will be in good company – this unique offer is taken up by many ski tourers. Thus, you won't need to look far for a partner, because there will be enough experienced athletes to go round.

Ski touring on the Maiskogel

Start directly at the car park near Maisiflitzer. From there, enjoy a heart-pumping trip in the direction of the Eisbär bar and then on to Stangerbauer. Here is where you have to decide: 

• challenging: direct route up the Maiskogel
• relaxing: turn right towards Saulochalm

The tour is over as soon as you reach the mountain station of the cable car near the Glocknerblick guest house. Afterwards you get to experience a beautiful descent looking at the lights of Kaprun.
