On the trail of world-famous athletes

Since 2012 Zell am See-Kaprun has played host to a world-famous sporting event: the Ironman 70.3. During this competition, participants run, cycle and swim. But it's not only Ironman competitors who can conquer the many kilometres of cycling trails featured in the competition: amateur athletes can also go on the trail of the Ironman. Here in our region, cyclists will find the best conditions for their training. Because after all, you will find great training where the triathlon event itself takes place – for example, on the 2015 Ironman 70.3 World Championship Route! The World Championship Course in Zell am See

Starting from Sportplatzstrasse – left onto Karl-Vogt-Strasse towards the nature preserve – to Bruck – Taxenbach – Lend – left towards Dienten – follow the street to Filzensattel – Hinterthal – Maria Alm – Saalfelden – Maishofen – past Pfaffing, Schieding, Niedernhaus, Bsuch – via Schützing back to Maishofen – Zell am See – turning point Piesendorf – Fürth – turn right towards Kaprun – Tauern Spa – right towards Auhof – Schlossstrasse – past the Kaprun Castle – Schüttdorf – Zell am See Süd (south) – two right curves – near the airfield, turn left to the Autohaus Porsche – right onto Güterweg – straight ahead through Bruck – via Fischhorn back to the starting point.
